Patience is a Vertu : Racetrack Series

April 5th, 2006

If we were rich….Sorry, make that stinking, filthy, I-owns-an-island and I’m-tenth-in-line-to-the-throne rich, the only phone brand we would go anywhere near would be Vertu. This handmade mobile from exotic metals at prices where most of us would go for a brand new car or house extension, you cant get a more exclusive mobile.

Can you imagine how expensive will a mobile phone be? This Vertu mobile only have features such as sms, mms, alarm clock, advanced agenda, calculator, 1000 names in phonebook, 220 notes and 100 sms. There are no 3G 4G or even 5G included in such an expensive phone.

Patience is a Vertu. Which is a good job because it took two years of salary pooling to afford this expensive, bling-o-phone. It is a cut down Nokia with no bells and whistles, and it is worth more than all our cars combined. If you were unlucky enough to miss out on last year’s Motorsport edition of Vertu’s Ascent, limited to 997 pieces worldwide, you can now stop blubbing.

The Racetrack Legends series will consist of six models limited to just 1000 pieces each, with every one commemorating a famous motorsport circuit from around the world. They are out now, cost $7000 and come with leather cases embossed with a chequered flag pattern and with matching green or red stitching.

If this mobile is still not expensive enough, you can always head for Vertu Signature 18-carat Gold which will cost you more than $ 16000 and exactly more than Vertu: Racetrack Series. Telephony doesn’t get more opulent than this. If you can afford it, why hold back?
