Seagate Unveils 750GB External HDD

Finally here comes Seagate gadget. Next month Seagate will ship out an external hard drive based on the 750GB Barracuda 7200.10 internal HDD. Thats mean it runs on 72000 7200 rpm and 16MB of cache memory and has an average latancy of 4.2ms. Did i just mention 72000?
Comes with both USB and Firewire connectors, and ships with PC and Mac software that will automatically back up the host computers hard drive when the button on the front of the external unit is pressed. It contains four platters accessed using eight read and write heads. The capacity arises from the use of perpendicular recording to boost each platter’s capacity to 188GB.
This Seagate 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive will be available May priced at around USD559.
