This robot is called the Winebot, it is a robot that can taste and tell the kind of wine via it beam of infrared light from its left arm to a bottle. There’s a demonstration done on a bottle of Shiraz at a laboratory in Tsu, central Japan on August 22. Some of the light is absorbed and analyzed in real time to determine the object’s chemical content. Researchers at NEC System Technologies and Mie University, the designer of this Winebot said that it is able to identify dozens of different kinds of wine.
