Google confirmed buying Youtube for $1.65B

Google officially announced today that they will acquire Youtube the video sharing giant for approximately $1.65 billion. This deal is expected to close by the end of Q4. YouTube will still retain its brand, its new headquarters in San Bruno and all 67 employees, including co-founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen. Meanwhile, Google will continue to run its less popular video service at its own site.
