Western Digital Caviar SE16

Western Digital has released their latest Caviar SE16 hard drive that boasts a massive 750GB of storage capacity and with the SATA interface it transfers up to 3GB of data per second and a 16MB cache. It uses the SecurePark technology which removes recording heads from the platters whenever the disk is spinning or inactive to improves shock tolerance and also long term wear.
The Caviar SE16 also comes with the IntelliSeek feature which aim to reduce overall power consumption by calculating the optimum seek speed, reducing the need for sudden acceleration, and in the process excess electricity.
The Western Digital Caviar SE16 hard drive is available for $249.
