It seems like the iPhone does not support third party headphones. When the headphone was connected, there’s a warning pop up saying that is not compatible and asking you whether you want to switch to airplane mode to reduce audio interference. Not like iPod that works with bunch of third party accessories. Head to Engadget, they got the list of products which found compatible and incompatible.
