Qian Hongyan the basketball girl has joined the swim team. She hopes to compete in the 2012 Paralympics in London. She will use the basketball instead of her prosthetic legs during her swim training to help her get in and out of the pool.

Qian Hongyan lost her lower body in a car accident few years ago. China doctors have make her prosthetic legs which costs £5,500 and it is being paid for by charitable donations.
