24 tracks of song costs $220,000

Jammie Thomas was the first among more than 260,000 people who get sued for illegal downloading and distributing music in the net. She was ordered to pay 220,000 dollars for sharing 24 songs online, that was $9,250 per song. Watch the news after the jump.

“She turned down an offer to pay a few thousands dollars in fines and instead took the case to court.” There are 1,702 songs found in her online folder.
