Well, I experienced it once before, a girl called me from some electronics company and ask me about few questions about electronics like, “Which type of camera do you prefer? Branded or cheap?” Well, I just answered that question, thought maybe they want to check the market here. Few days later they called, said that I have won HKD50, 000. They said they put my phone number on the lucky draw that day. (Well, she did not tell me the other day) Then she starts asking for my bank account number for the money transaction and ID number so as the full name so she can transfers the money to me. But I denied, I didn’t give her any of those details and just hang off my phone and didn’t pick up the next time she called. A week later, it came out from the newsletter, few people got cheated in this scam and one of them loses RM40k+. Before getting the cash prizes, they need you to pay some sort of fees in order to get the cash. After you paid them and that’s it, they are gone. You can even contact them as they giving you their false details. So keep in mind, if you haven’t enter any competition at the first time then how can you won a prize.
