    I don’t get why he would do that either…but those silver things are microdermal anchors, I believe. Basically a metal base inserted under the skin, and you can attach threaded objects, such as the metal discs, onto the top. Either that, or it’s an internally threaded vertical bridge piercing with discs as the ends.
