Olidata Conte Ultraportable Lappie

Another MacBook Air competitor, the Italy’s Olidata has unveiled its Conte at CES 2009, a 13.3-inch ultra-thin laptop. There are two versions, the 16:10 (1280×800 display) and the 16:9 (1366×768 display). Both are powered by Core 2 Duo processor, optional built-in 3G or WiMAX, and a battery life of more than four hours (or seven with an extended battery). The 16:10 model also comes with Intel Turbo Memory, a fingerprint reader, a backlit keyboard, and 3GB of RAM as standard. Wait till May, you should be able to get this in Europe for around €1,000.

Samsung MBP200 Pico Projector

Samsung has announced its MBP200 Pico Projector today, a portable projector that can be connected to mobile phones or laptop for up to a 50-inch viewing screen. The MBP200 support standard Microsoft Office and PDF for the display. This portable projector also comes with a tiny stand with a telescoping pole hidden inside which capable of turning a paper into a screen to view movies, document files or pictures. “Turns out stop motion is one of the most painstakingly laborious mediums to work with,” he writes, “but the end result was worth the hours we spent taking thousands of images and stitching them together.”
