KT next-generation internet phone 'STYLE'

KT has announced its next-gen internet phone called STYLE in their press conference. The phone will be released for Korea market. It has a pyramid-shaped design and comes with 7-inch large touch screen with an intuitive interface, VRS(Video Response System) function instead of existing ARS(Audio Response System), stereo speakers, digital photo frame, video/music playback, FM radio and widget service. Wow that thing is big, that’s a house phone my friend.

Sci-fi laser stiches wounds

Researchers from Tel Aviv University have discovered that by meticulously controlling a laser’s heat they can use it to weld the skin shut. Using this method, the skin is less likely to tear and is more watertight than traditional needle (thread stitching). There an experiments on real patients in Israeli operating rooms and have proven successful, their wounds healed faster and less scarring. Video after the break. Read more…

LG LH30FD LCD HDTV

LG has announced its LG LH30FD LCD HDTV series. They come in 47 inch, 42 inch and 32 inches, yes three sizes. The LCD has a unique power saving modes which boasts up to 70% of reduction on power expenses and they are promoted as energy saving devices. No details on the spec yet but these LCDs were expected to be available at Korean first.

Canadian producer and DJ Deadmau5 together developed a new DJ app for iPhone and iPod Touch. The application was named Deadmau5 Touch Mix, it allows you to mix, remix and perform using ten exclusive tracks from deadmau5. You can also apply delays, effects, rewinds, cuts, and more, and utilize a scratch pad. The Touch Mix Deadmau5 Edition is now available at Apple App Store for $2.99.

LG Korea has posted some press photos of the LG Arena KM900. It comes with 3-inch touch screen, 480 x 800 pixels, 256k colors, 8GB internal memory, 5.0-megapixel camera, HSDPA 7.2 mbps wireless connection, Wifi connectivity, A-GPS, Java, microSD slot and a dedicated multimedia chipset to enhance the speed of 3D S-Class UI. It measures 105.9 x 55.3 x 11.95 mm at 105grams. The phone will be introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona and go on sale in Europe first in March next month. Read more…
