GreenGT's Le Mans Prototype

GreenGT of Switzerland has designed an electric car to compete in Le Mans but not sure if an electric car can meet of the requirements and specs of Le Mans race today. This prototype is made of FIA-spec carbon chassis with a fiberglass body. Featuring 2 water-cooled electric motors, each of them has 100 kW (2 x 100 kW) coupled to a differential gearbox patented by GreenGT. This 860kg electric car got its power from flexcell photovoltaic solar panels, and two lithium-ion batteries, each with 30kWh of power. According to the company, it boosts from 0 to 60 under 4 seconds and hit the top speed of 171mph. More pictures after the break.

Wow! That is a great looking electric car. We have been depending of fossil fuel for far too long. It is time for a change. Can’t wait to see all the electric cars on the road.

    Thanks for the post.
