GreenGT of Switzerland has designed an electric car to compete in Le Mans but not sure if an electric car can meet of the requirements and specs of Le Mans race today. This prototype is made of FIA-spec carbon chassis with a fiberglass body. Featuring 2 water-cooled electric motors, each of them has 100 kW (2 x 100 kW) coupled to a differential gearbox patented by GreenGT. This 860kg electric car got its power from flexcell photovoltaic solar panels, and two lithium-ion batteries, each with 30kWh of power. 47-year-old Terry Watkins from The UK, has created the world’s smallest car ~ 39 inches tall, 26 inches wide and 51 inches long which is almost half the size of the current world record holder. The little car is powered by the engine found on lawn mower and has got the chassis from children’s toy car. Watkins has put on working headlights and tail lights, windshield wipers, signals and horn, and he got his license plate making it fully street legal.
