Logitech has come out with a new external DVD writer, it is the LDR-PME8U2L. The burner provides a writing speed of 8x for DVD-R/+R and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW and DVD-R/+R DL, 5x for DVD-RAM and 24x for CD-R, CD-RW. It connects with USB 2.0/1.1 interface and comes bundled with ArcSoft’s TotalMedia Backup & Record. It measures 36.5 x 143 x 19.2mm and weighing 300 grams. The Logitech LDR-PME8U2L retails for $92.

PhotoFast has released the CR-7200 adapter. It is a CF adapter that hold four 16GB microSD or microSDHC cards running in Raid. According to the compan, this will make the slower microSD format as fast as CompactFlash by scripting data across all four microSD cards at once. The PhotoFast CR-7200 adapter is available for pre-order for ¥6,500 ($70).
