Sony VAIO X series has won the title of the world’s lightest notebook at 1.6lbs. Yes, it’s lighter than MacBook Air and it measures just over a half-inch thick with its lightweight carbon fiber body. The lappie is powered by a 2GHz Intel processor and features 16:9, LED-backlit LCD display, a multi-touch trackpad, built-in Verizon 3G, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, SSD storage and running on Windows 7. The Sony VAIO X Series is available starting $1,300 and above.
