Most of these designs are going to work.

You see, the “one dimension barcode” needs only one horizontal thin reading line for scanners. (yes, the visible “red line”, when you read barcodes with handscanner)

This means that the machine don’t care, how are the barcodes designed outside this reading line. Reading line with enough contrast and enough clear space before and after the barcode is working just fine.

Of course, wider readable area is easier to read.
