Merlin Entertainment has bought the 145-acre Cypress Gardens property at $22-million. They announced today they are going to open the LEGOLAND Florida in 2011. It is going to turn the shuttered site into a multiday resort – hotels, attractions from other holdings – including SeaLife Aquarium, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and the London Eye Ferris wheel.
