Chariot Skates

Chariot Skates are more like a combination of skating and cycling. Its large wheel lets you gain and maintain momentum with less effort and get you more stability and skate over rougher terrain. Video after the break.
In this video Michael the inventor is skating on the first samples out of the new moulds back in May and June this year; since then we have made some modifications to a few of the moulds and made some improvements to the lay-ups to both reduce the weight and increase strength is some areas. Chariot Skates are still undergoing further testing and improvements.
Beginners to wheel-skates may have trouble stopping as with beginners to snow-skis or ice-skates which have no brakes; but with wheel-skates beginners wearing gloves or special wrist guards can stop by applying pressure to the tyres/wheels with their hands, as shown in this video. But more experienced skaters with be able to stop and control their speed in a similar manner to experienced skiers and ice/roller/inline skaters as demonstrated by Bell in this video doing a T-Stop.
