General Electric Energy Smart LED Bulb

General Electric is introducing a new 40-watt replacement GE Energy Smart LED bulb, to be available later this year or early 2011. This GE Lighting’s new LED bulb consume just 9 watts and produces about the same light output as the 40-watt incandescant bulb and last more than 25 times as long. Each LED bulb comes with 25,000 hour rating and it is environmentally friendly as it does not hold any mercury. The Energy Smart LED bulb will cost $40 to $50 each. I think that’s a great bulb but $40-$50 is a lot times pricier than the traditional light bulb.
