Electric Transit Backpack lets you fly around city

Looks like someone wants us to fly above the rest of the traffic as part of a urban way of transportation, which I wonder whether can really reduce traffic jams, though it’s a really odd concept to begin with.
The idea, which belongs to a Bulgarian architect Martin Angelov, was recently exhibited at the TEDx conference in Thessaloniki. His concept consist of of two parts, a network of taut steel wires strung all over the city and a personal backpack harness system consisting of harness, a battery bag, and a light engine that runs on the Kolelinia wire mechanism.
One just has to strap onto the battery-powered backpack, and hop on to a wire to fly around and reach their destination. With the trunk line network covering the whole city, anyone can get down at any intersection, and ride another different wire to get to their destination. I wonder what will happen if it rains. Imagine all the wires around the city, we might as well cycle?
