Samsung gives your home cordless phone a touch of magic

What Samsung did was integrating a photo slideshow into a 7-inch touchscreen device which is also a docking station for a cordless phone. Besides some simple user interface that let’s you dial your contact either through the touchscreen numpads or just by tapping on their face. Yes, the new Samsung SP-M100 is a combo of digital photo frame and cordless phones with touchscreen functions.

With the 2GB internal memory, you can store images and your contacts in the device, and with the touch of their image, your cordless phone’s gonna call them instantly. I really like the futuristic idea of this cool device. When the device is idle, it will run a slideshow of photos from your own personal preset photos or the default slideshows in the system. There are other functions as well, like an integrated music player, a USB port, and an SD card slot for memory expansion.

Available in both black and white versions, the SP-M100 retails for $240. Extra handset (SP-M100HWH) is also available for $76 each. Oddly the white version looks very much like a product from Apple.
