Mortal Kombat returning, and back to its roots.

Check out the announcement trailer for Mortal Kombat, specially for those 80s kids. Finally, Mortal Kombat is back to its roots, like King of Fighter. Though that is the only announcement, therefore there’s no release date, or any other form of news. There’s not even a mention of what platform this will be, though there’s a high chance that its going to Sony PS3. Its coming to PS3 and Xbox.

Microsoft’s project naming team sure has hit a big flop. I wonder what’s wrong with the name Natal, it sound quite “lethal”, like a Tomahawk. Anyway, Microsoft has officially rename Project Natal to Xbox Kinect.

Canon files new patent, real HDR coming our way?

Canon has filed a new patent in the name of photography. The latest published Canon patent application (USPTO Appl. No. 12/630,594) reveals a method for altering exposure values at pixel level, which would allow Canon to construct a camera that captures a much wider dynamic range with a solitary image, unlike previously which requires photographers to capture the same subject in multiple exposure levels and then photoshopped.

AUO shows off transparent multitouch display

Remember how Tony Stark uses a transparent PDA device to hack the courthouse’s computer in Iron Man 2? I really fancy that technology, and surprising enough, we are now getting very close to such advancement. AUO is a technology corporate that has been pioneer in making absolutely stunning display technology. Lately they have displayed another revolutionary product at Display Taiwan 2010 – showing off a 2.4-inch transparent multitouch display.

Artefact re-streams Flash to your iPad

Despite Steve Jobs’s effort to not allow Flash to be integrated into iPads, some groups of people have been trying hard to make Flash runs on their iPads. Previously we’ve seen Smokescreen, a browser plug-in which converts flash into JavaScript-like materials so that it runs on iPad. Now some programmers over at Artefact Groups have work on another method to run Flash on iPad. It’s called “Flash in a Pinch”.

Samsung: My screen’s better than Apple!

Apple was very proud when they announced their new retina screens on their iPhone 4. Well researched, Apple claimed that the screen was mix with some Frankenstein chemicals to make it 30 times more durable and tough than regular plastics. It also boosts a large resolution, with 326 pixels per inch. Sounds very impressive don`cha think? Well Samsung don’t think so.

Wacky bridge design that looks confusion but solves problem

I might not be a civil engineer or an architect, but don’t you think this bridge is slightly too wacky? It’s called the Pearl River Necklace Bridge. Makes you wonder if it’s joint by pearls. It does look stupid and illogical, but it’s designed to provide a solution to an issue.

Samsung’s awestruck 3D TV commercial is lovely

Since 3D is the ‘in’ trend right now, I’d like to share with our readers this very lovely commercial from Samsung. It’s the commercial for Samsung’s new 3D TV. Very cool commercial indeed, even thought it’s not quite the real-thing when we buy it, as we still need the 3D glasses. Nevertheless, it still gives me the awestruck feeling when watching it.
