Apple sold 1.7 Million iPhone 4 in the opening weekend

AR Drone - iPhone Controlled Helicopter

Apple has announced in the press that they have sold 1.7million of the iPhone 4 through Saturday, June 26. That is three days after the launch in 24.

“This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history,” said Steve Jobs in an Apple press release. Jobs said. “Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”

Now this is very interesting news, and it’s big too. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) stated that pornography sites will now have its own top-level domain (TLD) called dot-XXX (as in .xxx). This move was decided after a long six-year push by ICM Registry to group all adult entertainment sites into one TLD for easy reference.

Froyo makes friend with Nokia N900, both gets along very well.

As the Android platform is too wide, and many manufacturers customize their Android for each model, it’s hard to perform instant update across all platforms. But somehow, people are still able to do some incredible stunts, and totally put the developers to shame at times. Like this case, where a user manage to get Froyo to run on Nokia N900. What’s more amazing is that Froyo works like charm in there, with super fast browsing experience, and decent hardware support. Well, at least they manage to put the Symbian developers to shame.

AR Drone is an iPhone or iPad controlled helicopter. It is developed by a France based company named Parrot. The helicopter is equipped with four fans to allow it fly in any direction and it features both cameras front and back which can stream real time video back to the phone. It comes with two augmented reality games, one of which pits you against a fighter jet that you need to try and shoot.
