Google Music coming this Christmas!

Remember the Gingerbread that we talked about? Well, here’s a partner for it during the launch event. Google is going to throw a new contender into the ring where Apple is going to announce iTunes Live, and it’s called Google Music. Well that’s what Gaurav Jain, Android product manager said.
Apple and Google’s race to stream content from the cloud has never really been a question of if so much as of when, and today’s report from Israeli financial paper Calcalist gives us the clearest indicator yet of when we’ll actually start being able to take advantage. Nevermind that mSpot already beat Google to a cloud-based Android music service; mass penetration won’t happen until the big dogs step up with their own platforms.
However, the news stopped there. There’s no other information given in regards to the new service from the platform developer. But no worries though, as the 1st half of 2010 has already gone by (wow that’s fast!) and Christmas will come in no time. Let’s get ready for another Google VS Apple showdown.
