Apple’s gyroscope chip in the new iPhone 4 has been under question for some people. Many stated that the compass is already ‘not fully utilized’, what’s more when we have the gyroscope in it. I also ponder on the usage of it for apps. But now, I kind of like the inclusion of the gyroscope in this new phone. This video demonstrates nicely the use of the new gyroscope in the Apple iPhone 4. Acrossair’s reality augmented app fully utilizes the new feature. Check the video out.
It seemed the antenna issue of the iPhone 4 is getting at the nerves of many. So it’s not a surprise that the folks at Zagg come up with something to resolve the issue. Read more…
According to the FAQ section of Microsoft’s TechNet site, the first service pack for Windows 7 (for public, not beta) will be available in the early months of 2011:
Q: When will SP1 be released?
A: Service Pack 1 will be released within the first half of calendar year 2011.
Seemed a little late, but well if you can’t wait, you can always get the beta version.
Google Image has been indexing the Internet’s image since 2001, and by now there have been 10 billion images that have been indexed. The vast amount of images to show is too wide, and therefore Google has restructured the way images are shown to users.
Everyone was showing off their figures, and Apple couldn’t help to show off his figures too. Apple made the most money it ever has over the last three months, $15.7 billion in revenues to be exact. That’s a humongous jump compared to last year’s $9.73 billion, thanks to the 8.4 million iPhones and 9.4 million iPods sold.
Apple today announced that their ‘still new’ iPad will be available in nin more countries this coming Friday. They are Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore.

HP’s own website has a piece of info regarding their upcoming HP Slate. It’s going to be powered by a 1.6GHz processor, presumably an Intel Atom processor. Memory will be 1GB, which seemed sufficient for light browsing and movie watching, as the Apple’s iPad only have 256GB of RAM. It’s going to be 8.9 inch with touch screen support, and there’s going to be two cameras, one at the front and one at the back presumably. The Slate will be running on Windows 7 Premium, and it’s certified by Energy Star. What’s unknown right now is whether its display is capacitive touch or not, and how does the battery life score.
It’s normal for manufacturers to release teasers months before their new models get unveiled. But ads like this are always unique and make people anxious over what it is. The Paris Motor Show is getting nearer, at September, and Lotus has released a promotional teaser relating to the unveiling of a new model, or should we say ‘models’, as Lotus is actually unveiling 5 new models at this year’s show.
Google has just received their last Nexus One stock shipment. This means that after this badge got sold out, it’ll be hard to get the Nexus One anymore from Google. You’ll still technically be able to get it from Vodafone UK or KT in Korea, but when the supplies will finish is really out of our guess, but I bet its close.
Though the Nexus One has its ups and downs, and we can safely say it’s not the most successful Android phone out there, but surely everyone loves it when it was released. It’s the only Droid phone to have the vanilla version of the Android on it, as all the others are customized. But then the Nexus One has always been a phone specifically for developers of the Android, and is not targeted for worldwide consumer. The Nexus One surely had lead its role proudly, which sprung the Galaxy S, Droid X, Evo and many other HTC models. But with the Nexus One gone, we can now wait in anticipation for the successor to jump out.
Hopefully no reader gets that, but if someone actually said that, I guess you’ve been tweeting too much lately. But now you have a new excuse to tweet even more, and also eat your own tweets too! Cause someone has gone and makes your tweets into a cookie! (yeah, that’s a lame excuse) I guess that’s expected. When millions of users access a particular thing, that thing’s gonna go crazily famous, and one odd user will do something like this, especially when that user is too free and only stays in the kitchen.
