I wonder if anyone remembered what ‘Graffiti’ is. After looking at the news, it clearly makes me recall of that stupid stylus-based text entry system.
Well some sweet and considerate person has brought back the frustration, and plunge it into the Google Android.
Available now via Market, the free, OS-wide keyboard alternative comes care of Access, who gained the rights to Graffiti following the Palm / Xerox settlement from way back in 2006.

Shown above is a 3M M2256PW display. Yes the code’s messy and hard to pronounce in fast, but that’s a ten-finger supported multitouch display panel, developed specially for Windows 7 slate research. There’s been no news regarding Microsoft partnering with Swype on anything, but it does come to understanding that it’s a no shocker if Microsoft does partner up with Swype, seeing that they are indeed trying to penetrate into the slate market with a Windows 7 Tablet Edition. The integration of Swype keyboard into Windows 7 slate would be a huge boost in practical functionality, and coolness points too. We can easily assume that the upcoming Windows Mobile 7 might also have this Swype keyboard in it too. But let’s cross our fingers for this shall we?

The teen sensation Justin Bieber was so famous that ‘someone’ had to go to the extent of blocking him from the Internet using a Firefox add-on. Even Twitter had a hard time handling his crazy fans. But now, Justin Bieber has knocked out Lady Gaga off her reign as holder of the most-viewed video on YouTube. Read more…

At last week’s press conference, CEO of Apple Steve Jobs shows off their biggest room in Apple campus. But it’s no ordinary room for you to party, even though hardly anyone would hear you if you’re in there.

Engadget has a cool story of why my white iPhone 4 is not coming, yet. Despite the “End of July” promise made by Apple, they did not further elaborate the reason why they can’t make it in time. But even as Apple keeps quiet, others do not. Chinese newspaper 21st Century Business Herald has his own theory.

Wow, it seemed that now is the season to throw figures around. But not everyone is having a great party in Silicon Valley. AMD’s the sad chap this time around, and despite off a nice record in revenue, it seemed not enough to turn the table around.
AMD has made a record quarter, pulling in $1.65 billion in revenue. But in business, sales aren’t everything. Despite the humongous revenue, the company is still losing money. A net loss of $43 million, or $.06 per share, is nothing compared to the billions in revenue, but it is still a lost.
But that is still a good news for AMD, in comparison to last year’s quarter, that is a massive 40 percent boost, where it previously lost $330 million net. All this is of kush thanks to the frenzy sales of graphics hardware, the effort of the successful Radeon HD 5000 series graphics cards. Sales of mobile processors were also up 18 percent over last quarter. Keep up the good work AMD!

Here we have yet another touchscreen faucet, by Italian bathroom brand ST Rubinetterie. But well, that’s pretty much everything that they can market it with, touchscreen! Duh!
This faucet is supposed to be eco-friendly and stylish, but I just can’t see any green-factor from it. It’s called the Shark, and they’re trying to explain the name with “the Shark faucet features a smooth, streamlined look that will instantly modernize your bathrooms.” Doesn’t sound like a shark to me.
While I like the Shark being a minimalist design and straightforward simplicity, I don’t really like a faucet that high-tech till I need to read the manuals.

Apple has pulled other smartphone developer into the drench with them when they said that all smartphones can lose signal in certain position that you carry. But it seemed that RIM and Nokia weren’t very happy with the statement. RIM and Nokia have responded to Apple’s claim that all smartphones have the same attenuation and signal loss issue that the iPhone 4 has. Here’s what they said.

When Fermi was released, many said that you can ‘fry’ an egg with it (but it can’t, sad), but now, Asus is thinking of a method to ‘fry’ an egg using the GTX480. Well, when one GTX480 can’t fry them, how about two?
Yes, Asus has gone crazy again. This time, they’re stuffing two 480s into a single PCB board. Deemed a hot and power hungry monster that the GTX480 already is, the ‘Mars II’ will need 3 8-pin auxiliary power connectors to actually power the two chips up! I can only imagine the heat that it will generate, and the cooling system needed to chill them to roam temperature at least.

This is one of the funky ideas going around, and I actually like it. The prototype vibrating warning system for cars will actually vibrate and ‘hopefully’ wake you up from dozing off and flying out of your car while you’re asleep. Hopefully this new system can keep you awake from those wild rides.
From the Yales School of Engineering, this vibrating project joins flashing side mirrors (Audi) and “stay awake, have a coffee break” (Mercedes) as the latest in driver safety systems, protects drivers by vibrating cellphone-sized motors in the seat.
