Yes, RIM has officially approved the Twitter app. And thus, the ‘Twitter for Blackberry’ is out of beta, and ready for everyone to tweet with their Blackberry.
The whole app is still very BlackBerry-centric so all you crack-addled keyboard enthusiasts will find quick keyboard shortcuts and an interface designed for your trackpad & keyboard. Well, what are you waiting for? Get the app here, and let’s head over to your 1st official twit using BB.
Once again people go and prove that Apple’s product is just a beautified fruit. Ars Technica goes and compare Android 2.2 (Google Nexus One) and iOS4 (Apple iPhone 4) on JavaScript performance. The chart above clearly shows the obvious winner. Is Apple’s product an ‘all show no go’? But then, I doubt 98% of the iPhone users really care about the split second difference. As long as it does the job, and does it in fashion, there’s really nothing much to be complained by the majority, unlike the antenna issue.
Steve Jobs might have swear on the iPhone 4′s new 5 Mega-Pixel ‘photonic’ camera, but that does not mean others agree. To some ‘professionals’, there’s always room for improvement. Continuing the great tradition of iPhones awkwardly outfitted with camera lenses, one ‘heroic’ individual has now come up with an uber-huge mechanism (compared to the iPhone 4) that will let you “attach” a full-size SLR lens to your iPhone 4. While complete details are a bit light, Technabob notes that the camera mount at the bottom of the rig is a Manfrotto pocket tripod — so you at least have a place to start for building your own.
Yet another Mario paper stop motion video up. But then, this is sheer unique Mario video on a streetwalk. Have a look at the video and you’ll know what I mean.
This is actually something for fun. Made by someone named Blake Bevin, it was to honor the movie ‘Back to the Future 2.’ He equipped the Nike shoe with a force sensor which reads the pressure of your foot when you put it in the shoe, and activates the two servos which then tightens the lances. There’s also a switch which will release the pressure and thus reverse the servo and loosen the lace with a touch of a button.
It might looked scary if you got a feeling that you’re being watch every time you walk on the street. But this, this is cute! Scary and cute at the same time, Casper? Read more…
Finally, a better crack to run Flash on iPad is here. It’s called the Frash (totally no pun intended), by Comex, and it’s ready to play some nice animation and flash games on your iPad. Video support is not ready atm, but don’t worry as its coming. Farmville on iPad anyone? But no, don’t rush yet, as you have to ‘Prison Break’ (pun intended) your iPad before installing this ‘Frash’.
Head over to Engadget to have a look at ‘How-To’. [*Note: Jailbreaking is always dangerous, and a 'try-at-your-own-risk' adventure.]
Can’t really comment on this, but still, it’s a good source of laugh. This video can’t really be referred to, as it somehow shows that Apple fanboys got not many friends, well at least not many that can talk ‘Apple geek talk’ with them.
Voddler is a video-on-demand service that streams big movies and TV shows. There’s 600,000 registered users so far, even though its ‘invite-only’. It has contracts with 5 American movie studios to stream videos with a price. But if you’re living in Sweden, then it’s totally free for you.
It seemed that the service, which features a ten foot interface for living room friendly viewing and utilizes a P2PTV overlay network (similar to Vudu) for streaming should eventually hit the states, although there doesn’t seem to be a timeline on that.
The new Leanback version is YouTube’s answer to hang out along Google TV. By emphasizing the experience of browsing YouTube on a TV, the YouTube team has designed a new layout which restricts interaction with the new interface to solely base on keyboard and remote control. Yes you heard it right; Leanback blocks your clicking activities. Videos now cover the whole browser, and will play the HD version whenever possible. The experience is really new, though still abit slippery. So far not all videos can be played on Leanback version, and the experience is still dodgy. Browsing other video while playing the present, will sometimes cancels out the present video and load up the new video without me hitting ENTER.
