
This decent looking 2.5inch HDD chassis is manufactured by Icy Dock. Named the MB668U3-1SB, this is an aluminum enclosure that can house a notebook HDD or an SSD. It also has a USB3.0 interface. Standard status LED is present, but there’s no info on the read/write speed as well as the release date and price, yet.

This would surely be something that we will all look forward to in 2011, the new wireless power transferring technology from Murata. Using field-coupled wireless power transmission, this new tech is able to supply power to devices wirelessly. By simply placing them on the digital charger without any need for power cords or physical connections, electronic devices can be rejoiced wirelessly. How this will affect most lithium batteries is still a mystery to be unfolded. This will surely be the future of all electronic devices if researched well.

Intel has redefined ‘smart’ vehicles at their latest Research Day. It’s a new safety system for vehicles that I would skip in my car. Imagine having dozens of cameras and sensors attached around your car. That’s their new ‘Intel Connected Car’. It records data about your driving behavior, like speed, steering, braking distances, and everything else around. I wonder if it will record my smell in the future. Anyway, yes the system will record your driving style, and forward any information regards of any accidents that (touch wood) happened to the police and insurance company. I guess there’s no more escaping when you’re drinking, driving and didn’t signal your car.

This entry reminds me of when I’m in my uni, where there are 2 units of 5-grand Canon photocopiers on each floor in the whole building. Its password protected and remote accessed for the lecturers’ convenience. We never actually manage to hack it to work for us, as we have to pay to print our FYP in the library. I guess now we can’t even think of hacking it.

Wait, let’s clear that up before we move on. LG has stated clearly that “Optimus” means “best” in Latin. But who really cares? Everyone knows it’s a gigantic robotic truck. Anyway, LG is getting ready 2 Optimus phones, the ‘One and the ‘Chic’. There’s no spec out yet, so we don’t really know much the difference between them. All we know is, they’re having Android 2.2 Froyo as lunch.
