The India’s government has finally finished their rough development for their home ground slate pc, named the ‘Sakshat’. It means ‘In Reality’ in India. The Sakshat is actually a very amazing low-budget slate aimed for the students of India. It’s amazing because the Sakshat was initially planned for a $10 retail price, and went into many hurdles and challenges along the way, which made it rather not feasible to see the light of days. But now, it’s out in retail for India, though with a market price of $35, it’s still a good price despite not being able to meet its targeted price. Read more…

Microsoft has confirmed 5 hardware partners launching their phones for the Windows Phone 7 during a briefing with Pocket-lint. Senior product manager for Microsoft, Greg Sullivan stated that handsets will be expected from Asus, HTC, Samsung, LG, and Dell. However a launch date wasn’t given, yet. Read more…

Remember the HP Slate running on Windows 7 that we talked about? Well it might be hard for you to get one now from nearby computer shops. HP Personal Systems Group VP Todd Bradley has just spoke at the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference, that the HP Slate will be “more customer-specific than broadly deployed,” as it will be launched as a Windows-based tablet “for the Enterprise” in the next few months.

Last Thursday, the Motorola “flying” Droid X was launched in the States, and soon after, a number of users have reported that their new 4-inch smartphone had flickering displays and some other display issues. On Tuesday, Motorola and Verizon (US Carrier for Droid X) released an official press statement and a fix for all Droid X users that have such issues.

Panasonic is rumored to announce a new ‘consumer-level’ 3D camcorder at a press conference next week at 28th July. Specs for the upcoming camcorder are scarce, but source says that it’ll be about the same size as conventional consumer-use camcorder, with a pair of lenses integrated to give the effect of 3D. When Nvidia release the GTX 460 recently, it has shown to the world what a bit more design time with its latest generation architecture can do, by cutting down on power requirements and heat yet still maintaining highly competitive performance on the market. They hope to do the same on the upcoming GTS 450 which will be based on the GF106, containing 1GB of GDDR5 on a 128-bit memory interface.
