This is not your washing machine, and it’s not made by the Sports Outlet

LaCie’s new home server is awfully sexy to be paired with your iMac through your Airport Extreme. But don’t be fooled that you can wash your filthy clothes with it. It runs on an Atom bomb from Intel, but it won’t kill your computer. Instead, it’ll save your computer from the overloaded and bloated collection of silly videos.
This 5big Backup Server is able to store up to 10TB worth of cute Taiwanese movies (or heavenly prawn for some of you, though 10TB is too much right?) and emo Korean dramas, or the misleading Lost series. It’s heart sits an Intel Atom D410, and the available five hard drive bays are capable of providing storage capacity of up to 10TB, considering each houses a 2TB HDD.
Connection wise, there 4 x USB 2.0 slots and 1 x eSATA slot. Why oh why did they still skip that USB 3.0? Anyway, this would be your lab’s perfect backup system, as it comes with Windows Home Server which can support up to 10 PCs, or even 25 fruits with its support for the ‘awsm’ Time Machine. $1,199 is all they ask for this sparkling white box, but with that price you can surely find a slightly better spec machine from the ‘H’ company. Too bad that blue button can’t blink like an Ultraman.
