Moon photo another proof of the iPhone 4’s awesome camera

The iPhone’s camera was terrible, horrible, and kind of like vegetables. But not the latest iPhone 4 that Mr Steve Jobs boast about so much. This is the kind of good example that big sensors are nothing but gimmick for camera phones.

You might have a huge ass sensor but with terrible quality, the result is an oversize photo that’ll take ages for your phone to load, and yet producing crappy quality with too much noise and terrible distortion. But throw in a fairly decent sensor that is not too big, and it’ll produce a DSLR-quality photo in around 800 x 600 size. Fairly decent yet not oversize. Nobody’s going to print out a room-size photo using crappy camera phone with 12-Megapixel anyway.

Here, the dude is pairing up his iPhone 4 with Borg’s Pencil Borg (175mm/F7) telescope and Vixen’s LV5mm eyepiece. What he gets is a picture of a half-moon with nice details of its craters.
