Ken Levine announced BioShock Infinite, playing in a death star when the world ends.

August 14th, 2010

Ken Levine announced BioShock Infinite, playing in a death star when the world ends.

Back in 2007, BioShock caught awe and gasp from many people. BioShock 2 was released this year, but the then developer Ken Levine wasn’t involved in this BioShock 2, which was created by several sister studios and was set in that undersea city of Rapture. Levine’s team is one of the most acclaimed and secretive in game development. Since the ’07 BioShock, which they made in partnership with 2K Australia, Irrational gave no hint about what they were working on, no clue that they were making another BioShock. But Irrational, which had, for a time, been known as 2K Boston, is indeed back on the franchise. Read more…

The Siberia is GlacialTech’s latest bling bling cooler

The Siberia is GlacialTech’s latest bling bling cooler

GlacialTech, a known name in CPU cooler, has a new toy for both you Intel and AMD fans out there. The Siberia is their latest dual-fan CPU cooler, which supports Intel (LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA775) and AMD (AM3, AM2+, AM2, 940, 939, and 754) sockets. The cooler comes equipped with a copper base, and has six 6mm copper heatpipes. The heatsink is made of a slim aluminium block. No HDT (Heatpipe Direct Touch) here though. The maximum TDP (Thermal Design Power) of this cooler is 130w. This upward spinning cooler weighs in at a fair 620 grams.

The heatsink is cooled by two fans – a 92mm fan below the fin array that works at 1300 RPM, and a top 140mm fan with a rotary speed of 800 to 1400 RPM. There’s no mention of the operation noise, as I’m wondering how the noise would fair in such a complex airflow cooler. Usually people would prefer a ‘same size’ fans with same rotational speed to reduce airflow noise. Price has yet to be announced though.

iRiver Story Touch Edition is your reading material?

iRiver Story Touch Edition is your reading material?

It’s been awhile since I heard about iRiver. Now this Mp3-player company is joining the growing e-Book Reader market with their Story Touch Edition. Measuring at 126mm x 162.8mm x 9.5mm, the upcoming e-book reader will feature a 6-inch e-ink touchscreen display. Not fancy, but enough to give you a good reading experience. The size is just nice for big pockets. The internal 2GB of memory should be sufficient for some light reading materials, but if they aren’t you can always expand the storage via an SDHC memory card.

The Story Touch Edition support ePub, PDF, TXT, FB2, DJVU, and CBZ format e-books. In addition it also supports DOC, PPT, XLS and HWP Office files. No .docx for you though. There’s a microphone built-in if you need voice recording functions, or decided to record your own singing while you read, and listen back to your ‘aw so sweet’ voice as the e-Book Reader supports MP3, WMA, and OGG files too! Sadly there’s no pricing at this moment.
