Oversize cardboard toy is only missing an engine, and some drivetrain…

I consider myself decent when it comes to art. Well, at least I draw decent stick man for the least. And you SHOULD believe me when I say that! But when it comes to assembling a plastic model kit, I’m never the bright one. Sad to say, but I’ve still got a box of sealed MG Exia Gundam lying under my computer table. No, I don’t need help at that. I’ll just leave it there and rot, until I find some silly time to start my little project.  If you say origami, I’m actually quite good at it! Well at least I know how to fold a bird. But if you’re referring to this 3D NSX made from cardboard, I had to step back and bow on you.

Hunt for your free Citroën DS3 if you’re in UK, on Facebook!

Citroën UK has just launched a game called DS3 StreetSeekers, and will warmly dish out three of its latest ‘bloody hell sexy’ superminis, gratis! During each five-day round of the treasure hunt, participants can go to the marque’s fan page to get the club, and then with the clue, a little bit of snooping around the Google Street View map, will yield a piece of a DS3 photo. Every day there’s a new clue about where another piece can be found, and when someone collected all four pieces they get the clue to where the complete car is. Track that one down, and you could be driving around England with your spanking new hot mini! You can give that DS3 to me if you don’t want it anyway, if you win the contest that is. ^_^

Here’s a hot spot for your fruity device

Here’s a hot spot for your fruity device

Clearwire has dished out a portable 4G emitter; give it a ‘Magic Mouse’ like design, and slapped an ‘I’ prefix in front of its name. Their new 4G i-Spot is an Apple-centric hotspot for all your i-Devices. This thing is also locked, to only work on Apple’s products ONLY. Clearwire explains that “the device is configured to filter based on MAC address which allows it to ID the Apple mobile devices,” which explicitly means iPhones, iPads and iPod touches only. Not sure whether it works with iMac though. This white-soap like 4G hotspot device is yours for ‘only’ $99. What a selfish white-soap! Read more…

Sony updates PS3 firmware to fix hard drive issue

Sony updates PS3 firmware to fix hard drive issue

Sony was quick to flourish out a new weirdly named ‘3.41’ firmware to fix a major flaw found in the original 3.41 of the PS3’s firmware. The previous 3.41 firmware was causing some ‘disquieting error message’ for those that manually upgraded their console’s hard drive. But oddly, this is a new firmware but Sony did not give it a new naming. Nevertheless, their prompt action is better than some fruit company.

Writing on the PlayStation blog, Sony wrote: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, and appreciate your understanding and continued support.”

FaceTime: 3MB per minute data, good enough for your limited data plan?

FaceTime: 3MB per minute data, good enough for your limited data plan?

Not everyone is having unlimited data plan. What’s more, now that JailbreakMe allows you to ‘FaceTime’ your friend directly through the air using your 3G connection, more data will be ‘sacrificed’ for your evil deed. Now thanks to the folks at 9to5Mac, you’ll be able to comprehend even more whether or not you should jailbreak your iPhone 4 and FaceTime your friend using 3G. A 5-minute call resulted in 14.7MB of data transfers — including both uploading and downloading – for the 3G-riding iPhone, which breaks down to a rate slightly lower than 3MB per minute. Not that bad actually, considering you’ll be downloading even more if you’re spamming your iPhone to watch Justin Bieber over at JewTube.

Android the king of smartphones in U.S.

Android the king of smartphones in U.S.

Great news for Google and his pals. People seemed to have liked their Android phones more than the other two fruit companies. Surely nobody can further comment, when the consumers have voted with their wallet. NPD, the consumer market researcher has gotten hold of the numbers for the sales for the second quarter of 2010. Android triumph with 33 percent of overall sales, while the former champion black fruit company RIM was down to 28 percent. The white fruit company Apple only occupies about 22 percent, making it the 3rd place holder of this quarter-fight championship.

Motorola and HTC are the key suspects fingered for Android’s continuing ascent, with the “large screen allure” of their handsets playing well with the buying public. This just proves that the Americans like large stuff! Large cars with large c.c., and now large phones with large touchscreen. Every must be large I guess! 4-inch smartphone, I don’t think it’ll fit even fit in my pockets. Dang!

GoPro’s upcoming HD cam makes you go ‘ang ang ang’.

If you always get lost when you go shopping, and can’t find the way back to your car, well this is the perfect hat for you. Their new HD Hero 960 will be able to guide you back to your car, in HD! Drooling already? Yeah, well you can drool until Fall comes, and prepare some $180 so that you can record all the places that you went in HD. However, how long can you record, is still unknown, so maybe you can’t shop for too long. But if you prepare more memory cards, maybe you can! The HD Hero 960 is set to replace the 720p ContourHD, and providing a better value-for-money option too while surpassing it with a maximum of 960p resolution.

This is not your washing machine, and it’s not made by the Sports Outlet

LaCie’s new home server is awfully sexy to be paired with your iMac through your Airport Extreme. But don’t be fooled that you can wash your filthy clothes with it. It runs on an Atom bomb from Intel, but it won’t kill your computer. Instead, it’ll save your computer from the overloaded and bloated collection of silly videos. Read more…

Die hard PlayStation 3 fans should move in here

Yeah, this is a real building alright. The Namba Parks in Osaka, Japan looks awfully like the famous console from the country of the rising sun. The only difference is that this ‘gigantic’ PlayStation Home has a helipad but your PS3 don’t. Maybe this is Sony’s secret headquarter.

iPhone 4 jailbreak might be blocked soon

When JailbreakMe release the Cydia iPhone 4 jailbreak, which can be done directly through a webby, they exploited a PDF vulnerability in order to hack your iPhone 4’s iOS 4. Of kush, jailbreaking has always been a mean to hack your phone to bypass what Apple initially locked down in order to have access to more features.
