Amex Digital MP-501 aims to be 'world's smallest 1080p media player'

Pocket size media player? Not really that fancy, but they should look good on a simpleton-design living room with space conscious in mind. Measuring at just 175mm x 128mm x 15mm, this MP-501 media player from Amex Digital is going to be a very low profile player in your room that will sincerely play any Full HD video for you, yet not getting attention from your family or friends.

Weighting at only 250grams, this pocket sized player can accept a multitude of film formats from a connected USB storage device or an SD card; once the media’s flowing, it can output content as high as 1080p over HDMI, thanks to the integrated ARM Cortex-A8 processor. There’s also a composite video / audio output and mini-USB port ’round back. This player is also able to play nearly every file under the sun and in the kitchen sink that’s stripped of DRM. And the best news that we wanna give you is? This baby’s gonna cost only $49, who wad’cha waiting for mate?

Microsoft’s Arc Touch mouse coming ‘very’ soon.

It’s not official until Microsoft says it is, but the image above of the rumoured Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse was just snagged off a German online store. Amazingly, the mouse arches its back for comfortable mousing before packing flat for easy transport. Sounds like somebody that I knew, when I slide her back. Anyway, the mouse features touch-scrolling, a battery indicator, the ability to track on most any surface, and a 2.4GHz nano transceiver that no doubt plugs into your laptop’s USB port.

Rumor has it that it’s going for sale ‘slightly’ more expensive that Apple’s Magical Mouse or Magical Trackpad. €69.99. So how soon can you burn seventy Euros for this ‘sensitive’ mouse? Well notebooksbilliger from Germany is listing it up, and is shipping it in 5 to 10 business days, so I guess it’s just a few days more? Check out the photos after the jump. Read more…

Sandisk might revolutionize portable devices with their new iSSD

iSSD is short form for ‘integrated SSD’. What does that mean? Simply, it’s a tiny little thin SSD that is. Motorola Charm a BB Bold contender?

It seemed that the Motorola Charm will be hitting shelves next Wednesday (August 25th) with a price of $74.99 on contract. The Motorola Charm is a cute little portrait QWERTY Android device with a Kodak-branded 3 megapixel cam and landscape display, which we seldom see from Android-base phones. Since most Android phones are fully touchscreen, this will be a great contender to RIM’s hugely successful BlackBerry with QWERTY keyboards.
