Erica Sadun of TUAW has, for some unknown reason, been sniffing around the codes for the internal settings property list of the new Apple iPod Nano. What might be some clumsy ‘forgotten to delete’ or excess/leftover code has given the slightest possible hint of video playback capability for the ‘now touchscreen-ed’ iPod Nano. That includes options for things like TV subtitles, captions and alternate audio, and even a fit-to-screen option — for the perfectly square aspect ratio of the nano’s screen, perhaps? Then again, I’m already reluctant to watch videos on a 3-inch display, what’s more on a 1.5-inch screen. Who cares what type of content it has. A banana will look like a peanut in there.
