Are you scared to drive along at night?

Driving alone at night is nothing shock to experience, as I’ve been doing that fairly often. But the journey’s made short thanks to less traffic. A trip that would usually takes me 30-minutes on peak hour got shortened to around 5-minutes, which is very amazing how the traffic can make us waste so many times on the road. But of kush, it always cross my mind what, or who, I would see sitting behind me, or under my steering wheel, if you know which movie I’m referring to. No thanks to these movies, I’ve always constantly checking to see if there’s anybody in my car before I get in it. It’s a habit now. And to further comfort my tiny heart, I’d blast the music out loud and get myself ‘entertained’ to avoid thinking of those nonsense things.
Capitalizing on just such a fear, Daimler’s Smart produced a commercial which preyed on those fears and closed with a clever tagline espousing the fact that Smart ForTwos don’t have a back seat.
I have to admit that this ad isn’t very impressive. Look much like a search-copy-paste B-rate ad complied from many B-rate scary movies. But it’s from Smart, so it got to be decent. At least the news said so. The ad was a huge hit in Germany, somehow, where it was originally slated to run during the trailers in movie theatres. It garnered such approval that it eventually made its way into television spots throughout Europe and has now ended up on YouTube as a “banned” ad. Nice move Mr Uploader. Well, the “banned” tag was there for the “lulz”, as it didn’t really get banned, but just never got aired in the States. The ad might seem lame, but it’s cute in its own way.
