Celcom Malaysia to join the iPhone club?

Back then the iPhone 3G was exclusive to Maxis Communication in Malaysia. But when the iPhone 3GS were launched the exclusivity was deemed ‘gone’ as Digi Telecommunications also launched their iPhone 3GS plans soon after their 3G Broadband packages. However, Celcom has remained silent in regards to the iPhone 4 ‘hu-ha’ in the country. A year ago, Celcom has expressed interested in offering iPhone in their lineups too, and has talked with Apple about it. However, due to limited stocks for Maxis and DiGi, it seemed rather impossible for Celcom to launch their iPhone plan alongside the two other rivals.

Maxis Communication has already released their talk plans to the public for the iPhone 4, and DiGi was bound to release theirs on the upcoming 24th September 2010. Abit too late for Celcom? Not really, as rumour has it that Celcom might be launching their iPhone package soon in October, which is rather near. If this is true, then all three telco giants in Malaysia will have iPhone 4 in their lineup. Great news for the citizens of Malaysia of kush.
