Halo Reach requires hard drive to play in co-op mode, Microsoft working on this 'temporary issue'

I’m not sure about you guys, but I play Halo for the storyline, and I’d trash it aside after I’m done with it. Well I don’t represent the rest of the 99.99 percent of the population in the Halo universe anyway. The Halo series has always been about addictive multiplayer experiences, and trash talking with some noob little girls. Therefore, I believe that a huge number of people would be rather distressed right now when they can’t see anyone in the latest Halo: Reach’s co-op mode.
There’s a glitch, apparently, in the game that caused co-op mode to be a ‘non-starter’ for people without a hard drive attached to their 360. An issue has been identified by users of the 4GB Xbox 360, whereby attempts to team up on your mates always come with a cute error message that says “a HDD is required for this game type”. Ouch! There goes the anticipation of after-school or after-work syndrome.
This affects both Halo: Reach and the earlier Halo: ODST. Adding extra memory via USB has been found to be ineffective, but at least Microsoft has stated that it’s aware of the limitation and is “quickly working to resolve it.” Standard multiplayer is predictably unaffected, so you can still go and pick a fight with that innocent newbie, or go find your girlfriend/wife and make some sweet love instead of always gaming and gaming and… gaming?
