Sony did not mentioned this during the Tokyo Game Show, but they’re “soon” releasing a new PlayMemories application (kinky name eh?) that will allow you to view both 2D and 3D photos that are captured with a 3D-enabled camera, on your PlayStation 3. Well Sony does have an ‘extensive’ 3D-capable camera lineup, which is the NEX-5, NEX-3, WX5, and TX9). This application will be downloadable from the PlayStation®Store. Sony mentioned a “late September” release, but after looking at the calendar, hey now is already late September. So I guess we’ll be seeing this available any time now.
