Drag racing wagons bring the house down.

We’ve seen many incidents where spectators got injured or even died when watching some events in close counters. Spectators got killed by rally cars, or ramps that collapsed, are not common. But still we cannot just ignore the fact that they do happen at times where you least expect. According to The Daily Telegraph, over 100 spectators watching a race were injured in Brazil when a section of bleachers collapsed in a local drag race event. Read more…

Sony's PlayStation division looking for engineers with Android dev experience

Previously we’ve said that Sony might be developing an Android 3.0-based gaming phone under the PlayStation brand, and now a new job posting seems to indicate that Sony really is getting some Android action. Well a progress is always a progress. New remote controlled Stealth Rides from Hot Wheels

New remote controlled Stealth Rides from Hot Wheels

Hot Wheels has just rolled out two new R/C cars in the Stealth Rides line. The collapsible racers fit into their own cases which double as infrared remote controls. At the moment there are just two vehicles – one with wheels and another with treads – but in October Batman’s Tumbler shall join the party. The good news is they fit in any pocket, run for about 45 minutes and cost just $25. The not so good news is that when that 45 minutes is up you’ll have to replace five watch batteries – three in the car, two in the remote – to get them going again, which seemed rather troublesome to me. Kinda spoils the fun of it.

Halo Reach requires hard drive to play in co-op mode, Microsoft working on this 'temporary issue'

I’m not sure about you guys, but I play Halo for the storyline, and I’d trash it aside after I’m done with it. Well I don’t represent the rest of the 99.99 percent of the population in the Halo universe anyway. The Halo series has always been about addictive multiplayer experiences, and trash talking with some noob little girls. Therefore, I believe that a huge number of people would be rather distressed right now when they can’t see anyone in the latest Halo: Reach’s co-op mode. Read more…

Celcom Malaysia to join the iPhone club?

Celcom Malaysia to join the iPhone club?

Back then the iPhone 3G was exclusive to Maxis Communication in Malaysia. But when the iPhone 3GS were launched the exclusivity was deemed ‘gone’ as Digi Telecommunications also launched their iPhone 3GS plans soon after their 3G Broadband packages. However, Celcom has remained silent in regards to the iPhone 4 ‘hu-ha’ in the country. A year ago, Celcom has expressed interested in offering iPhone in their lineups too, and has talked with Apple about it. However, due to limited stocks for Maxis and DiGi, it seemed rather impossible for Celcom to launch their iPhone plan alongside the two other rivals. Read more…

Teens think drink and drive is more dangerous that txt’n’driv.

Teens think drink and drive is more dangerous that txt’n’driv.

Yes, we get this a lot. Many groups has already marked that they wanted ‘txt n driv’ to be banned. Now there’s more reason to do that. Regardless of abundantly of academic research indicating that texting while driving can be just as hazardous as drinking and driving, a new poll shows that most teens simply don’t think that’s the case. State Farm recently funded a poll lead by Harris Interactive in which 14-to-17 year-olds were asked whether they thought they would die one day if they recurrently text and drive. Sad to say that only 35 percent of those asked strongly agreed with that statement. Compare that figure with the 55 percent of teens who think that drinking and driving could prove deadly, and you begin to see the disparity. Nobody’s gonna blame you if you start questioning whether those 55 percent asked are high on weeds, or just plain ignorant.

Likewise, those polled believed that their chances of getting into an accident are higher while drinking and driving versus texting and driving. The auto insurance giant says that it’s up to parents to accentuate the perils of both activities for their children. With public safety groups and parents having already spent decades reminding young people of the dangers of driving under the influence, it looks like it’s going to take at least that long to reach them about the perils of distracted driving. Hit the jump for the press release.

PlayStation Move gets tear down by iFixit, almost can make calls with it /></p>
<p style=The boys at iFixit sure have itchy hands, and can’t stop to tear down everything that they can get hold of. Luckily they still have their senses to not tear down their houses. The latest to join the glory wall would be Sony’s latest PlayStation Move. iFixit mentioned that the PlayStation Move was one of the easiest devices yet to break down and reassemble, but somehow I’ve heard that phrase abit often from them. Nope I still don’t trust my fingers on the screwdrivers mate. Read more…
