This Rolly Suitcase Is Also a Chair...and a Speaker

Mobile warriors who always go to the airports for those international flights. Ever seen the airport packed like a sardine can? Wish you had a chair of your own? What if I tell you that you can! But that’s not all, the chair can also jam, giving you a chance to do popping in the middle of the airport when the cute girl pass by with a tune of some Fancy Footsteps.

Denmark’s Wave House looks like…

A camel’s hump? No wait; it’s a skateboard park Ice Age size. Looks good too in my room, as my book shelf, if it fits in my room that is. But if you try to add a few more, they’ll do well as a roller coaster track. Read more…

Lego in real world?

September 20th, 2010

Legos, most of us would’ve played with them in some point of our childhood, in some way. Remember the times when we used to imagine so many crazy things and even crazy and stupid and baseless storylines and move our Lego toys around as if they’re real things.

This video reminds me totally of all those naïve memories. With those plastic bricks, it seemed that anyone can build anything. Fantasy? Yes, this video is full of them. That’s the idea captured in this video, made by Temujin Doran, where those beautiful little Lego creations are placed seamlessly (nearly) in the real world. I must admit, that some of them do look surreal.

Now the only thing missing here is a chapter of Star Wars.

Hungarian design is convinced Stringbike is better than oily metal chains.

Hungarian design is convinced Stringbike is better than oily metal chains.

I don’t see how feasible this design concept is. I mean, shouldn’t chains be stronger than some super thin strings? Designers from the Schwinn Csepel Zrt think otherwise, and that they’ve perfected the bicycle by removing that messy and oily chain, and replacing it with two cables. Read more…

Incipio Linq keeps the iPod nano watch craze going with $25 'carrying solution'

Who would’ve thought that the 6th generation iPod Nano would look good in a watch? Geez, the mind of creative people is just awesome. I didn’t even know the new iPod Nano can tell time that classically, until I saw these photos. Incipio has served up this new Linq case, which swells up the 6th generation Nano (you know, the one with touchscreen) with an ostentatiously rugged shell, a velcro strap, and a couple of very ‘attractive’ colour options for you. Looks awfully like my Swatch watch strap with its protector seal. Kinda reminds me that I need to get a new watch that can also let me listen to songs with an extremely long earplug.

iPad light painting adds geeky bling to your boring real-world space

Seriously, the iPhone and iPad is a great device only because of the apps. It’s the apps that made them cool to use, and there’re lots of serious contenders for the killer app that’ll make the iPad and iPhone shine out among the crowd. What we see here, is an app related to light extrusion.

Dentsu London has paired accelerometer-based software with long exposure/stop-motion photographs to take 3D renderings into real space, with a result that reminds us of the Graffiti Research Lab. Sure, you could do this on an iPod touch, but it’s that real-world iPad bigness that makes it awesome – one of those moments that makes you sit back and say dang, future, you’re here! Makes you feel satisfied once again about buying that overpriced and under-spec iPad. Read more…

CTL 2goPad SL10 Windows 7 tablet available to pre-order for $499

Shall I say that this is the first Windows 7 slate that your money can buy? Sure, we’ve seen many ‘prototypes’ around with Windows 7, and they’re all so fancy and cool, but you can’t have them, yet. Now, the CTL 2goPad SL10, which was originally spotted at Computex, will begin shipping on October 15th at the price of $499. What version of Windows 7 will be preloaded is not mentioned, but we believe it will be a heavily customized Windows 7 for optimum performance.

Spec wise, it should go along the same line seen in Computex. A capacitive touchscreen, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, a 250GB hard drive, and 2GB of RAM. Of course the tablet  also fully supports both HTML 5 and Flash, and has a 1.3 megapixel webcam to boot.

Codemasters seemed to be very anxious about their September 21 launch of their latest racing game, F1 2010. And they sure don’t want this to slip pass your ears and eyes without you noticing it, since everyone’s so eagerly waiting for Gran Turismo 5 which, when will it come again?
