Samsung Windows Phone 7 sets at a glance

Obviously we’re expecting Samsung handsets for the launch of the Windows Phone 7, but they did not throw a lot into the pool, unlike HTC. There’s two models from Samsung, and we shall have a loot.

Samsung Focus (aka Cetus or i917 in some country) – no mention of what processor is running on this 4-inch baby, but has a Super AMOLED screen with 480 x 800 resolution, comes with 8GB of internal storage which is expandable to 16GB via microSD, and finally a 5-Megapixel camera with LED flash but no mention of Auto Focus. The Focus will be exclusively for AT&T.

Samsung Omnia 7 (aka i8700) – 1GB Qualcomm QSD8250, 4-inch Super AMOLED display with 480 x 800 resolution, 8GB internal storage, and 5-Megapixel LED flash, capable of 720P recording at 25fps. Will be coming to Orange (France and UK), SFR (France), Movistar (Spain) and Deutsch Telekom (Germany)
Samsung is the only one with Super AMOLED screen, and both their handsets sports massive 4-inch screens. Samsung’s Focus is also the only one among the crowd to have expandable memory. Other than that, their handsets don’t seem to be very interesting, other than the Super AMOLED screen. Oddly, there’s no mention of Auto Focus on both sets’ camera.
