Touchscreen devices are very dirty, maybe kinky too.

In love with touchscreen phones and slates? Think again. Perhaps it’s a good idea to stick to your QWERTY smartphone for the moment. A Stanford University study found that if you put a virus on a touchscreen surface, about 30-percent of it will probably make its way to your fingertips. That’s where the journey starts.

From there it goes into the eyes, mouth, or nose — whichever face-hole is in most urgent need of a rub. And just to drive the point home, the Sacramento Bee adds this little nugget from an unspecified British study: “Mobile phones harbor 18 times more bacteria than a flush handle in a typical men’s restroom.” There! That should be enough to keep you thinking twice before getting that damn cool multitouch smartphone. Never mind girls. Wash your iPhone with Dettol every morning while you’re putting on your contact lens.
