MacBook Pro updated with optional 2.8GHz Core i7 processor

While everyone is paying attention to Apple’s “Back to the Mac” press conference, Apple slyly updated their MacBook Pro lineup, which wasn’t announced in the conference. Specifically, the 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro laptops can now be had with a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 processor, a bump from the previous 2.66GHz processor model. That’ll top up about $200 more (or RM644) than the previous top-of-the-line i7 processor offered.
A pretty pricey upgrade for some small 140MHz boost, but after looking around, this SHOULD be the Intel Core i7-640M processor announced just last month, and this little baby can juice up to a screaming 3.4GHz when under steroid load. That’s a pretty decent speed for a laptop.
