ASUS Eee PC 1015PN gets official

Yes, this baby shell is late, but still it’s great to know that it’s finally coming for real. The Asus 1015PN EeePC netbook is now officially the latest member of the clamshell Eee PC family. The 1015PN is the typical 10.1-inch netbook from Asus, with 1024 x 600 LCD reso, but is powered by a dual-core Atom N550 processor. Other hardware specs are pretty darn typical, as we have a 1GB memory, and 250GB of storage (no SSD here).

But what makes this baby such a sweetie is the Nvidia Ion 2 chip in it. Thanks to Optimus Prime in it, we now have a graphic switching tech in your netbook, which means you can watch Full HD 1080p videos on it, and yet save up some extra juice while you’re reading emails at the airport. With the help of the Optimus, Asus estimate a 9.5 hour of longevity on a charge, but only feasible of you did not play that latest Full HD version of Advent Children. This baby is yours for $429, if you love baby clamshells. Boy, have I been waiting so long for you.
