KDDI has launched a few new phones yesterday, but among all of them this is the most unique of all the balls. It’s called the X-RAY, and it’s called that for a reason. The new X-RAY phone is one of two new products in the company’s IIDA designer brand. Crafted by Tokujin Yoshioka, it’s a high-end Japanese clamshell with a 1-Seg TV tuner, NFC payments, and an 8 megapixel camera but with a translucent case (also available in blue and black). This is one funny thing how Google test its features and products, and leads to the introduction of Google Instant. Google is famous for being such an innovative company, and despite its search engine being the most widely used, they never stop to improve it to another higher level of user experience. In order to add new features to their search engine, they went as far as tracking your eyes to see where the attention goes to on Google’s search engine page. Read more…
Thinking that you can get away with the brutal campaign and claim the achievements yours that easily with simple cheats? Think again. Blizzard is going after those responsible for the ‘shortcut’ with a vengeance, taking three men to court for creating the hacks those users employed.
“Just days after the release of Starcraft II, Defendants already had developed, marketed, and distributed to the public a variety of hacks and cheats designed to modify (and in fact destroy) the Starcraft II online game experience”, the suit reads. “In fact, on the very day that Starcraft II was released, representatives of the hacks Web site advised members of the public that ‘our staffs are already planning new releases for this game.’”
The three men – “Permaphrost,” “Cranix,” and “Linuxawesome” – are being accused of “multiple counts of copyright infringement”, with Blizzard seeking not just damages but also a cut of the money the three received selling the hacks. The first two are from Canada, the third, Peru.
They also stand accused of encouraging others to infringe upon Blizzard’s copyright, because “When users of the Hacks download, install, and use the Hacks, they copy StarCraft II copyrighted content into their computer’s RAM in excess of the scope of their limited license, as set forth in the EULA and ToU, and create derivative works of StarCraft II.”
Despite the overseas location of the three men, the case will be heard in a Los Angeles US District Court, as stated in the game’s Starcraft II’s end-user license.Smart Blizzard. Well, nothing much left boys. Continue your idiotic zerg rush. I’m still gonna cheese you.
Boys and girls, this is not your ordinary touchscreen monitor, but you mays till consider this for your mum’s kitchen. This new 17-inch FlexScan T1751 monitor is Eizo’s latest multitouch panel aimed at industries.
It’s able to be used upright or tilted nearly flat, making it applicable for many places. The specs however, are not as awesome as your latest Samsung monitor though. It’s non-widescreen at 5:4 aspect ratios. It also has a rather disappointing 1280 x 1024 resolution, though you aren’t supposed to watch HD movies at your factory or lab anyway.
The monitor will work with a touch pen and gloved hands, however, and you’ll get a decent 178 degree viewing angle, along with a 1,500:1 contrast ratio, a pair of built-in 0.5W speakers, and a headphone jack and, true to its industrial nature, a non-scratch surface made of reinforced glass.Gorilla Glass getting some action here too?No official word on a price or release date, unfortunately — Eizo is simply telling folks to check with their local distributor for details. So, do you own a factory?
Have you been taking long-haul flights? They ban outside food, what a shame. The sandwiches that mum made were donkey years better than those provided by airlines. Not only will you be the envy of all your fellow passengers, but you also don’t have to eat bad food that seems to only be served when you’re not hungry. However, it seems airline food may not be so bad after all. It might be us with the problem. Read more…
