JBL’s new On Stage IV and On Stage Micro III iPod sound docks look confusing

Is this the most confuse-looking iPod sound system? JBL sure knows how to make odd designs, and milk them while they can. The company has just unleashed a new pair of iPod / iPhone-compatible sound systems, the On Stage IV and On Stage Micro III. The funny thing is, they look fairly identical, but the latter just so happens to be the more portable of the two. How portable can this weird looking speaker be? Read more…

Apple to hold 'Back to the Mac' event on October 20th

Apple’s going to hold a press conference on the 20th of this month at Cupertino, titled “Back to the Mac”. If you look at the cut – out logo of the Apple, there’s a lion sneaking behind. So they probably won’t be talking about the new Macbook Air, or would they? But we can be sure they’ll share some info on the next version of OSX, which would be 10.7. A lion? Sure! Well, Snow Leopard was previewed for a year before it actually hit the stores, so it’s possible for Steve Jobs to do some ‘rawr’ talking this 20th.

Mushkin launches 6Gbps SSDs for Enterprises using SF-2000

Mushkin is announcing the EP Series of SSD drives based on the new SandForce SF-2000 processors, with 6GB/s burst speeds. How fast? That’s 768MB/s compared to the current 285MB/s of the Callisto series.

Sequential read and write speeds are 500MB/s, while each can sustain a rate of 60,000 operations per second. That’s a lot of I/O, and it’s coming to gilded racks sometime in the first quarter of 2011.

Buffalo LinkStation V-Series NAS drives lets you view your photo in your NAS at anywhere

Buffalo has just revealed a trio of new LinkStation drives (Pro, Pro Duo, and Pro Quad) in the V-series ranging from 1TB to 8TB in size. The whole family looks mighty stylish for a Buffalo thanks to that new look, and they’re all eager and willing to stream to DLNA-certified devices (that means you PS3 and Xbox 360). The company claims that all three members — which sport a 1.6GHz CPU — can hit transfer speeds up to 76MB/sec, and a gratis WebAccess app enables you to pull up those images for gramps with your iPhone or iPad. The whole lot is available now starting at $189.99 (topping out at a whopping $1,039.99 for the highest end).

Razer Naga goes wireless, conquest for virtual world much easier now

Who in the right mind did this? The Naga MMO mouse from Razer is already horrendous looking, with its alien-like buttons and fat body. Now they’re making it wireless again. I guess many MMO gamers worldwide would be partying whole night. I can understand why they need so many macro buttons on their mouse when playing MMO, so the added wireless to this new one would be a great plus to their conquest for the virtual universe. OMIGAWD! Gran Turismo 5 delayed!

Angered just by reading the title? The awesome Gran Turismo 5 is being delayed! Sony’s Playstation Blog just posted an announcement that the game is getting pushed back yet again. The statement does say that the game will be released this holiday season, but does not elaborate more than that.

We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

We keep getting excited only to continually have the rug pulled out from underneath us. The cars, tracks, damage feature, Top Gear goodies and numerous extras leave us waiting with baited breath. We’ve waited this long so we can wait a little longer. Hopefully Christmas is going to be awesome.

Lexus shows off world's coolest driving simulator in new safety commercial

When you do not have state-of-the-art devices that are the size of a huge football field that looks like something going to Mars, you’re not really serious about designing a new car anymore. Even Steve Jobs has a few high-tech rooms like NASA just to design an iPhone. Read more…

This is the watch for DSLR-fags

This is the F-stop watch. No, the ‘F’ does not represent the awesome multiuse foul language. It represents the ‘Aperture’ in DSLR camera lens. Really is a cool way to tell time.

The timepiece was put together by the creative minds at The Unemployed Philosophers Guild, who sell it at a price that unemployed philosophers and photographers who spend all their money on gear can afford.
