Acer has just issued a new line of netbooks, and they can’t blame me for thinking that they’re going the Sony’s style. Thus far, I’ve only seen their Aspire One with up to four colour options, but this time, it’s still the same four options but with a more vivid colour. This 10.1-inch machine packs a WSVGA panel, six-cell battery (up to eight hours of battery life), Atom N450 CPU, GMA 3150 GPU, 250GB hard drive, WiFi, 2GB of memory and inbuilt Bluetooth.

ZTE has already got one Racer Android handset, but it’s now ready to venture into the crowded slate market, with their new 7-inch ZTE Light tablet. Basics stuff you can expect from this little ZTE baby. Android 2.1, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G connectivity, built-in GPS, an SD card slot for expansion, and a promised ten hours of battery life, thought that seemed skeptical. One surprise is the custom Android skin, if you notice in the picture. There’s even a 3-Megapixel camera at the back.

Android’s been into phones and cameras and airplanes, and now it’s going to hit the printer market hard, as we see more and more printers with Android in them. Here’s the #399.99 eStation C510 from HP, and you’ll get a detachable 7-inch Android 2.1 tablet that’s designed to act as a “wireless digital companion and control panel for remote printing.” I can already imagine many people buying this printer for the sake of the slate alone. Head over to the source to have a look at the specs.

I thought Hyundai only do cars, but they’ve surprised us. Hyundai IT is reportedly showing off this this 70-inch multitouch table at the Korea Electronics Show this week — in concept form, at least. While there’s no specs — apart from the fact that it’s “HD” — Hyundai is apparently saying that you’d be able to use the display either as a Surface-like multitouch table or as a TV, although it’s not clear if that means it actually tilts up. Alright, here we go again. For those adventurous, Apple has released the beta 3 for their upcoming iOS 4.2 for developers. Alongside this release, iTunes 10.1 beta 2 is also tagging along.

I’m not sure if you can consider the recession to be over, but the Chipzilla sure doesn’t seem to be affected at all. They’re having their best quarter, again! This time the company’s reporting $3.0 billion in profit on a record $11.1 billion in revenue. Chipzilla attributes the surplus to three percent increases in laptop and server chips sales respectively, but none to Atom-based netbooks — sales of Atom chips actually decreased by four percent. Odd that they did not blame the iPad for this. That may be more than you needed or wanted to know about the booming processor business, but humanitarians will be pleased to know it’s not all about the silicon; Intel also hired 1,300 new flesh-and-blood employees last quarter to keep the machines running.

Sony has been known to throw in very colourful VAIO laptops, and recently very colourful mouse to compliment the laptops. Now they’ve tapped into their camera lines too with this sweet culture of their. Think Pentax can get away with their colourful Optio RZ10? Hell no, as Sony as added some colourful options for you to choose from. Read more…

It’s funny but it’s true. I’ve seen many that do not know how to use a Kensington lock. Many people buy notebooks these days, and the locks come with the ‘free’ gifts. It’s been such an often case of people asking me how to use these locks, that I’ve lost count. That’s only for first timer thought. But you’d be surprised that human’s worst habit, laziness, strikes hard over here. There’s already cases where laptops got stolen yet there’s Kensington lock around but not used. Well, Kensington themselves are already aware of the issue, and a new alternative that it swears “your employees will actually use.” Read more…

Well during the announcement of HTC’s lineup for Windows Phone 7, the HTC 7 Pro was mentioned only in the US’s list, and missing in other continents’ list. But now, HTC has officially announced that the HTC 7 Pro will be available to UK to rest of Europe ‘early next year’, following their current roadmap. There’s no mention of Asia thought.
If you’re confused over all the Windows Phone 7, the 7 Pro is the so called ‘true Windows Phone 7 workhorse’, with its tilt-sliding QWERTY keyboard and compact 3.6-inch size.
