Dell Venue Pro takes on the rest of the world, solo.

Dell did not want to miss out on the early craze of Windows Phone 7, and thus has also whooped out their own version of the Windows Phone 7 handset, albeit only one model, and a very odd one among the crowd. It’s called the Dell Venue Pro. Dell’s take on the Windows Phone 7 is a portrait slide-out QWERTY keyboard style, and it’s a huge portrait slider Windows Phone 7, at 4.1-inch. It’s a capacitive, multitouch display joined by additional back, home, and search touch-sensitive buttons. Looks typical of a WinPo7 handset, until you slide out the QWERTY keyboard hiding behind.

All you need to know about Windows Phone 7.

The Windows Phone 7 is a long work from Microsoft, to have a fight with the fruit company and the robot company that we all know and love (or hate). It’s heavily integrated with Xbox Live, which means Microsoft intends to put mobile gaming heavily into Windows Phone 7’s core, much like what Apple’s doing with their GameCenter thing in iOS 4.1. Windows Phone 7 officially launched

There we have it. Finally, Microsoft officially launched their much hyped about Windows Phone 7 with a big bang. The Windows Phone 7 is not Microsoft’s first take onto mobile OS platform. We’ve seen the Windows Mobile and we all know how that turned out. Now, Microsoft is ready to let the world embrace their wrath, and also officially pick a fight in this market. So now, we have the three big mammoths of the silicon valley fighting in the portable smartphone market that used to be dominated by Nokia and Sony Ericsson and Motorola and… uh. Those were the days.
